GDPR is the new Data Protection Act that protects you as a customer and your rights regarding the handling and disclosure of your personal information.
Who is the treatment manager?
It is Tvedestrand Fjordhotell who is responsible for the processing of the personal information you provide on our website when booking on our on-line booking or via e-mail and telephone. It also describes the rights you have in connection with our use of your personal information, the access you have to your personal data and the right to have your information corrected or deleted.
What information do we collect and what is the processing basis for the personal data?
When you order at www.tvedestrandfjordhotell.no, we store e.g. first name, last name, e-mail, phone number and residence address. In addition, we store information about your stay, e.g. arrival and departure date, any special requests for rooms, facilities etc.
We use this information to process your order and to fulfil our obligations in accordance with the agreement between Tvedestrand Fjordhotell, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western, and the corporate customer – i.e. the treatment is linked to what is called legitimate interests.

While we are responsible for the content of our own website, Booking.com and Expedia.com are responsible for the bookings you make through their website. IT consultants that we engage to perform service and development of our systems. We have our own data processing contracts with strict instructions on the processing of personal data, confidentiality and security.
How long is the personal information stored?
The personal data is deleted when they are no longer relevant or required by law.
